Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • There is no Skip Main Content option available when using the keyboard to improve the user experience. This means that more tab strokes are needed to navigate the page, which impacts on the user experience This contravenes WCAG2.1 -  2.4.1 and is a 3rd party issue. We are, however, communicating with the System Owners regarding this function and have added it to the Accessibility Action Plan, which is monitored and updated annually.
  • There are a number of instances of low contrast (WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum))
  • Examples of long alternative text (WCAG 1.1.1 Non Text Content)
  • Examples of link text which may not make sense out of context. (WCAG 2.4.4 Link Purpose in context)
  • Examples of redundant title text
  • Examples of skipped headings (WCAG 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks)

We are working to correct these issues where possible within the confines of the software.

Disproportionate burden

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We are in dialogue with the supplier to improve the accessibility issues relating to the core product where we cannot correct them ourselves.

We are working towards full level AA compliance.
